For my first article for watchtower, I thought how fitting to talk about my favorite Sunday sport, Football! But more on the side of being a total football geek, fantasy football is my new found favorite game to be playing! I’ve been a football fan ever since I was old enough to talk and shout, “Broncos!” But this year, a friend convinced me to try and play in a fantasy league. Let’s just say, I was apprehensive at first, due to the fact that I’m a diehard Broncos fan. I couldn’t possibly imagine rooting for any other team, EVER! But I caved, and said I would indeed play. And here we are at week six, and this girl is 4-1. Not too bad for a ROOKIE!!!!
Fantasy Football has taught me a few things… One, don’t count on projections! You could be projected to lose really badly, and then have one player that just comes out like an all-star and stuns everyone! Two, when you’re new, sometimes you have to count on people, (like your significant other or co-workers), to make sure that you’re not making god-awful trade choices. Lastly, it can be a lot of fun playing against people you know. That way when you kick their butt one week, you have bragging rights for a whole year!!!!
So long for today! Sit back, relax, and enjoy some football. And good luck to all of you who play fantasy league. And as always, GO BRONCOS!
