Geek Dad Trip With Son – #dailyplanet #trains #ships

It’s always a pleasure when I get a chance to take my kids ANYPLACE. I have the greatest time with my daughter and with my son. This past weekend, I was able to spend some time with my family and the in-laws in Ohio. My FIL, had the idea to take my son on a train ride to downtown Cleveland. My son LOVES trains and loves anything that involves having Papa along. So, we did it. We hopped a ride down to Tower City, hit up a tour of a ship, saw Johnny Cash’s tour bus, and saw Cleveland from a VERY high tower. As an added bonus, we saw the building used to inspire The Daily Planet for the first Superman, ever!

Here are some pictures of our trip.

It would be easy to write much more on the experience,  but I think the pictures should suffice. Finnegan pretty much ran everyplace we went. He ran in circles, up and down ramps, next to moving trains (trying to catch them), and to the nearest pigeon. When we got back to the house, he told me he wanted to run circles in the yard.

Why did God not give ME that same energy?
